Default Posting YouTube Videos in a forum message

update!!, along with the software here, there is now a simple way to embed online videos. There is an icon in the toolbar of the edit window that looks like 8mm film. it is just to the right of the text color selector. when you click on it, all you have to do is to copy the URL of the vid you want to post and paste it. the vid will be embedded in your post.

Recently, The Q Joint added the ability to attach YouTube videos in our forum threads. This allows you to view the videos from the forum, so you donā€™t have to open up a second page just to see a video.

If you want to attach a video, just perform the following steps:

1.) Copy the YouTube Video I.D. from the full YouTube address (The id is the text after the equals sign. Just select and copy it.):

2.) Next, in a Q Joint Forum thread, paste the YouTube ID inside code brackets, just like you do when attaching Images. Only instead of typing IMG, type YOUTUBE (upper or lower case; either will work):

3.) Type your forum text just as you normally would, and preview the message just to make sure it looks like you want:

4.) Post your message and smile!

To play video that someone has attached, you will need to click the video to activate it. Then click the play button. Itā€™s that easy! Below is a video for you to practice on:
