I got 6 the first Day didn't even see any yesterday or today. I heard one down on the fence line near the trees but when I started working over that way he skedaddled out of my line of sight. Hard to hunt and tend the pit got a brisket on the stick burner. The Dove population is way down around my place this year Drought been rough on everything.

Slim pickens out here, too. I've had my eye on a windmill that has been pump'n water to a stock tank, no cattle in pasture due to no grass, and I don't even see them hang around there.

I've heard no shoot'n and have seen nobody out or even shells on the roads.

We've seen our share of rattle snakes, though.

I'll pass on snake, or I guess I should say I don't want to cook it. I was going to cook one once but when I was clean'n it, it just stunk too bad.

I don't have the snakes you have, Dawg, ours are prairie rattler's. We've killed 5 in the yard this yr, w/in 20' of the house. They were wanting water.

I'm with you on kill'n them though, Dawg. All started back w/that apple.......dirty bastards.
