I always had problems with fryers that heat from the bottom. The excess breading falls off the fish, settles to the bottom and then scorches, ruining the oil in the process.

I use a mixture of corn meal, corn flour and Seafood Splash seasoning. I've been refining the mix for years. I'm pretty happy with it. the main thing is that buyng ready made is so expensive.

Nice looking unit Tim, If it works like the single basket one that we have, I know you will be satisfied. We got the one basket unit because most of the time its just the two of us.

It has two smaller baskets or one large one E.T.. It runs on 220 so it's recovery time is very fast. We fry for just the two of us a lot of the time, but we also fry fish and such for a fair amount of company sometimes and not having to wait 20 minutes for the oil to come back up to temp between batches is quite a boon.

Glad its working for you Tim. My only 220 outlet is in the laundry room or the garage. Didn't give it a thought to have one put in the grill area when we built the house. E.T.
