    Default Need a new smoker

I am looking to relace my MES that took a crap after 2 pork butts this weekend. Any one had any experiance with..Smokin It This looks to be well built.

Any other suggestions on a WELL BUILT (not MASTERbuilt) electric smoker. I don't need the programmable aspect, but I did pull all the electronics out of the MES in case I want to incorporate it into a simple Electric model.

No, but they are the industry standard, made in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Nobody else stands behind an electric smoker like these folks...and, they are a sponsor for the site here. When you see their banner show up on the header, just click on it.

I checked them out nice, seem to be well built, same temp specs as the Smokin-It. I have never, but would there ever be a need to go over 250 deg? I see some go to 300 and one they don't have a low end temp on, I'll have to contact them.

    You won't regret it.

now, let's talk about it's big brother, the FEC 100, or for that matter, a Backwoods.

Shameless plug for sales ... you just couldn't let it go could ya

I missed this threads start, but glad to see you got some good info and made the choice you did. You won't be disappointed. Be sure to come back with some pics and a personal review of the unit ... we all want to hear about it.

    Congratulations on the new smoker!!
