    Congratulations Jerry!

(for those that don't know him, Okie Joe is the aforementioned 2nd place winner!)

Can you tell us more about the contest? I imagine that most here are unfamiliar with it, my self included.

Nationals were held at Wooster Ohio. My team mate won 2nd at World last year...Terry Cobb from Ponca City, Ok.
We entered in the three Pot Cook Off... Main dish and
    Bread and Desert.
Main entre was stuffed turkey breast bacon rapped,
bread was green onion cresent rolls.
Desert was humming bird cake (2 layer) cream cheese frosting.
There was 12 Team entered in comp. from all over the US and Canada. Three teams had won world and four teams had won second and 4 teams had placed at world. You could say it was very tough comp.
1st place beat us by 5 points and 3rd place was be hind us by 1 point. if anyone wants the recipes will happy to give them.

By all means, please share the recipes, but can you tell us how the contest works, what entity sanctions it, etc?

I mean I think we all at least kinda know how a KCBS BBQ comp works, but i don't think many of us know how this comp works.
