Default It's not just for ribs anymore!

Or I could have titled it "Dizzy Statchbirds" in the Poultry Forum.

Anyway, I decided to try cookin' spatchcocked chickens on the Rib Cage. So I started with a couple of whole fryers of equal weight.

I found two the exact same weight. That's important for balance on the rotisserie. Of course, after removing whatever is stuffed inside, and spatchin', I had no guarantee, the two weigh the same. But I got lucky.

Here's one tied and seasoned with Rooster Booster.

The second with Chef Merito's Pollo.

Then I put the Cage on at 300 deg.+

    Man, this was smellin' good!

    Here they are, done.

    Does this look sexy?

    With tater salad and slaw.

Wonderful meal!! The Rib Cage can accommodate four slabs or four spatchbirds. Cooks all equally well.

    Thanks for lookin'!

I looked but I didn't drool ... I did NOT have drooling relations with either of those birds ...

Great job on the dizzy birds Tom. It's a shame you wasted all that time on chicken ... but if it make you happy

Great looking cook Tom. I'm planning on cooking a couple of spatchcocked birds using Chef Merito seasoning today too.
