    Default New guy in Texas

i have to admit i am new to the grilling and smoking. i have a grill that i picked up at a garage sale. i got it home and redid. i am a huge longhorn fan, so needless to say, it is burnt orange. i have no idea the brand of the grill or i would tell you. it works pretty good. i did some ribs on it today for Memorial Day. They turned out excellent. so i guess i must be doing something right. i am truly hoping to learn all i can. we are planning a fourth of july party here so i have alot to learn in a short time.

To the Joint Chayne! You can't go wrong with a drum, Plenty of help here just ask away! The Drum makes an excellent Brisky! Briskets aren;t that intimidating on the UDS!

    Welcome to The Joint!

As to brisket, it is just a piece of meat. Learn what you can, cook one. If it isn't to your liking, change it up the next time.

You sure won't get it right fretting about it.
