Quick Update -> I have been going to Chicago since the last week of June helping with an automotive launch. (old job actually) It will last a while till I find something in Tulsa longer term. I still see lots going on as manufacturing is going well.

Good to see folks still cooking etc... I did get out to see Chargrilled once and will do it again. Joneser, too.. I did not know how close he was the first time! doh!

Glad to hear you got a gig. Ain't enough good jobs around these days. Not to jack your thread, but I recently had a job fall in my lap doing installs of material handling equip for commercial laundries/textile plants. Requires about 3 weeks of travel a month, both domestic and international. But the money was there, so I'm a road warrior again...

Hey y'all, been running a launch of police cars in Chicago the last 7 months and now am going to start a job in Tulsa. It will be nice to only drive to work instead of drive-fly-drive!

www.gunnebojohnson.com We make heavy lifting equipment. Basically anything you see with a hook on the end of a crane.

Like winches, heavy lifting equipment was developed in Tulsa in 1920's - 1930's when oil/gas biz got rolling. (Gunnebo Industries bought the company in 1988 - they are a Swedish company from the 1700's)

Like many Tulsa mfg companies, machining/welding are the key skills. We also have high end forging and painting capability. Basically metal plate comes in the back (we buy castings/forgings) and finished crane blocks are shipped.

If you can weld or are a CNC machinist, we need to talk. I also need a QA Mgr. (metals knowledge with supplier quality bend)
