Default new job search to begin

Hey yall.. some of you already know via FB but I am back in job search mode again as of Wed this week. It was not planned from my point of view. So I am cranking up the search now. I did this a lot back in 08-09 so am positive. The good news is, I will check in more here and probably cook some more, too.

Goal is to stay in Tulsa as our life is here.

My linkedin profile is here if you want to learn more about me:

PS - One thing I learned in 08-09 is to make sure and let people know of your status change and work to give them a focused 'target statement' of what you want to do.

You all would be amazed and how much helpful I got from connections over time. Whatever it is you are interested in let those folks know.. (BBQ, running, church, etc in this case for me)

I wish you luck in you search. Hope you find something soon it is pretty tuff out there. I think there will be a boom in the building trades due to the tornadoes. Hauling storm debris can be very lucrative. 1 man and a P/U truck with a trailer can make some coinage pretty fast.

Sorry to hear about the job Glen.

the job situation in Tulsa is not all that bad. You fit the category of desirable employee. I don't think it will take you long to find something.

Seems like I remember you talking about starting your own business last time you were looking.

Is that just my imagination, or was that the case?

Thanks a ton y'all!! Sorry a bit slow here. I had to head to San Antonio for APICS region meeting last Thursday.

I am seeing some good things so far, much better than 1-2 years ago. I have a couple of interviews this week through local contacts so that is good.

I am working to meeting local Tulsa manufacturing/distribution biz owners/operators and under their challenges. I believe there are more opportunities in that segment than in larger companies. (at least in Tulsa)

I am also open to some travel if needed to help folks as an independent or a consultant.

    I will keep yall updated.
