Yep. Just another spring day in Okieland. Several killed in the OKC area last night. Joplin twister is now classified as a solid F5. I lost a few shingles last night, but all the smokers are safe. Winds were 65mph plus last night, with 85mph downtown. Buttlover Mike iis El Reno. You ok Mike? Edmond was in the thick too. Bubblehead Jim, you ok?

Thoughts and prayers from S.W. New Mexico folks. Hope all make it through Mama natures fit of anger. She seems to be a little more mad this year for some reason. Hang in there. E.T.

Oscar and Ruby a doing great it missed us about a mile to south. Got a little windy and had to get everyone to a safe place. Some of the residents didn't like it, but it was over in just a few minutes. It did not do much damage in Topeka. Mostly hale damage.

Thanks for the link Brian. It really shows the devistation that went down. I haven't gone into the affected area yet to see anything first hand. I feel I need to respect the misfortunes of others and let them recover anything they can in peace.

On a cool note though - The company I work for has donated $1 million dedicated to the Joplin area for recovery, as has Home Depot and some others have made contributions. That on the heals of having had a plant hit in the Tuscaloosa tornado.

Hey you all, as you already know the tone the last 2-3 weeks was to 'back off' with 'relief' type help as there was plenty of it in Joplin. I thought I would update here that my church is still in touch with a church pastor in that area. I will keep this thread update with what I learn.

Maybe now it would be better to have a 'BBQ' type event is one thought we had?
