    Default Sand Plum Wood

I have a question, would wild sand plum wood be the same as regular plum. I have the stuff growing wild all around my place. I like to make sand plum jelly out of the plums but wonder if the wood would be good to smoke with. I guess I could always get bubblehead to come over and get some and give it a try. I wish I knew about grape vines we cut ours back last fall I would have kept the vine to try out also or get bubblehead to try it out.

I don't know if it would be the same. but I'm sure it would be good. The only challenge would be to find a piece thick enough to make smoke.

I currently use a electric smoker so all I would have to do is chip it. Once me and Jim get my Barrel smoker going I have apple, peach and apricot wood.
