Another opportunity will come along. Don't want to put yourself in a pickle over a wild hair idea. Believe me, I have had the same idea for some time now. Its one of the reasons I drove all the way to Penn. from sw michigan to buy my Lang used. I paid alomost as much as you are talking about for this rig.
I have used it to make some money, but its hard work, and tough on the Back. The prep work, and clean -up is the toughest part for me, the actual smoking and babysiting part is the fun, along with the eating.

The economy is in a tuff trail right now. I would expect a few more of these type of opportunities to come to your attention. Start saving your spare change. You know what I have found? Getting the actual smokin rig is a big part of the process, but once you have the ability to smoke 80-200 lbs of meat at a time, then you need places to prep it, store your supplies, and refrigerate, so that means alot of other "support" type equipment, often larger fridges and freezers, buying spices in bulk, celophane and heavy duty foil by the 2000 ft rolls ect. So you can imagine the actual costs to "upsizing" is more than just a bigger rig.

Myself, I couldn't imagine being inside that metal box with a wood fire in the summer. Might be real nice in the winter though!

I stressed my self all day yesterday trying to see If I could make it work or not.
I think it would be better if the smoker was removed and the building built into a kitchen.
I have a PJ 20' trailor I probally could have moved everything to.
that way you could step out a door way to the cooker.
I don't know, my mind gets to wondering sometimes.

My brother in law said he would do all the prep work If I would just tend the pit. seems like a quite a load off right there. Plus it don't take so much of the fun out it either.
I already have buy spices in bulk and food service foil and film.

The person who posted this add had it at $4,000 and droped the price a week later.

It something comes up soon I'll take a shot at it.

I have a huge contract comming up with my wifes store. untill that goes through I guess I'm stuck.

I would to be geared up for next season. The company said I could post up right in front of the store when everythings "legal".

In a mobile unit you can't operate more than 17 consecutive days. that means all you have to do is be closed one day.
