    Default Got Wood?

If you do we want pictures, of your smoking wood that is

A couple of months ago when this forum was proposed I made a comment that it would be nice if we could update the wood smoking list by adding pictures of the various woods on the list to help people identify and become more familiar with the wood they are cooking with. So to get the ball rolling I'm soliciting pictures of the smoking wood any of you have on hand.

Basically what we need is picture(s) and the name of the tree it came from, for example-
    Red Maple

If you have or can take pictures of the woods you use to cook with and want to partcipate in this project, shoot me a PM and I will send you the email address to send your photos to or if you have a photobucket account put your pics in their own album and PM me the link and I can download from there.

    What have you got?

Here's the list in the smoking woods sticky:

    Bump.

Not many responses so far. I added another type of cherry today and I've got Macintosh apple to add as soon as I split it. Unfortunately I don't have access to most of the woods on the list up here in Maine so I do need help. You don't need to send 'em via PM, just post to this thread.

Joneser provided the grape, pistachio and persimmon pics
kingkoch42 sent me the Sweet Acacia pic
