    Great looking casserole!!!!!. I prefer green Chile enchiladas, especially if I can get my hands on some Hatch Chilies.

    Tim, I found some of those chopped chiles in a Save -a-Lot store. I don't know if they are in your area but I do know they are nationwide.They were in a bag and not a tub and haven't tried them yet.

    thanks again y'all!!!! I've lived in CA, AZ, NM and Texas i was able to get them there so i kinda thought you could get them everywhere. i've used canned enchilada sauce with good results just check the can if its made in mexico it might have a lot of MSG

    Default Green Chilies

    That cassarole looks great. Those frozen Green Chilies that come in that tub are terrific. I've never seen them in OK, I pick them up at the United grocery in Amarillo. They're reasonably priced and they come MILD or HOT. I've gotten the HOT before for green chilie stew and it was so hot that most people couldn't eat it; some of those New Mexico green chilies can get pretty warm, but I think they have the best flavor. The mild are very flavorful and consistently mild. If you stop in or around Amarillo to get the frozen chilies, pick up a jar of Old Tascosa salsa; its made in Amarillo and its also very good.
