Great review Doc. It looks like the Maverick thermos are finally coming to where they should be. I just ordered one today myself. I can't wait to give it a try too

Thanks for posting the review buster!

Ain't it amazing what a little antenna can do?

I have some pix and intend to do a review as well when I get time. Your "walk" is a great review though.

IN ALL Fairness though, the alert only sounds when you have been w/o signal for four straight minutes, so you prolly dropped off a little sooner that you thought, but it still has all the range I would expect and then some.

I thnk you also have to come back into range within' a preset time limit or you have to re synch, but re synching is a breeze with these, especially compared to the ET-73.

AND, as everyone knows, they are available from out sponsor www.usbbqsupply.com

man.. the wife got me a new maverick for xmas.. told he if she wanted to get one, to let me know and i'd provide her with some model numbers to get what i wanted. she had already ordered it. might just have to melt the one too to get one of them. i have the m-73. works well for about 50-60 feet. says up to 100. but from my smoker to my couch is about 50, and thats too far with walls.
