    Default Gun Safe

Look'n to get Dad a gun safe for Christmas. Like the looks of Liberty Franklin 50. Any help would be great. What do you wish you had done, what are you glad you did, etc.

    Thanks guys

Sounds like a great gift! I don't have enough guns to require a safe, so I can't give any input, but I hope he likes it.

You should consider location. Aside from the fact that they are large, they are also REALLY heavy. Make sure where you are putting it is accessible with at the very least, an appliance dolly. A pallet jack is ideal. They are not something you want to move up or down stairs.

If it burns, I can cook with it.

It's going in his office, 10' away from mine. (wonder if there will be room for my guns? ) It's in a shop/shed w/cement floor under carpet, all 3' wide doors.

I think the Liberty Franklin 50 would be a good choice. Get the biggest one you can afford, then if it looks a little empty, you have an excuse to buy more guns

I would suggest the Liberty Fatboy with E lock. I have a friend that is a Liberty dealer and currently $1650. I don't know what kind of price you are lookng at, but this strikes me as a good one.

Really? Even out here where we only get 18"/yr? I guess I better add that to the list.
