    Default Salt or sugar

If you had to hazzard a guess, would you say that the most popular base ingredient for a BBQ rub is salt, or sugar or something else even?

Paprica then salt, & sugar in small amounts as it will burn and taste like Shee-ite.
this is my pig power recipe:
    4oz paprica
    2 tbl K salt
    2tsp onion powder
    2 tbl lemon pepper
    1 tsp cayenne
    1 tsp black pepper
    2 tsp ginger
    2 tsp mustard powder
    2 tbl sugar
    1 tsp dried thyme
Be kind to me, it's not my fault I'm a "PORK-A-HOLIC"!!

My rubs have an equal amount of salt and sugar most of the time

First and foremost you must understand what each one does to your rub and or crust ( bark ) . Raw sugar will give you different results from regular sugar and or brown sugar .
