    Default 24 hour restaurant challenge

I watched part of a show last night that was titled something like that last night.

they a a married couple that wanted to open a BBQ restaurant, and a couple of guys that wanted to open a trendy Mexican style place and gave them 24 hours to set up and open then have judges come in and judge them.

It was all a bit odd, and not very entertaining, but I did get a kick out of it when the judges (psuedo know it alls) tried the pulled pork and stated it was the best pulled pork they had ever had, and followed up by saying that it surprised them because the cook "couldn't find any pork butt and had to settle for shoulder".

To make it even better, what he did have to use was either shank portion ham or picnic. I think it was a fresh picnic, but I didn't get that good a look at it.

I wonder what it feels like to be on national TV and make yourself look that foolish.

I actually have enjoyed that show the 2 times I have seen it (didn't see that episode). I used to have a fantasy of opening a restaurant, but after seeing that one and "kitchen nightmares" I changed my mind.
I am in shape. Round is a shape.
I LOVE vegetarians! They come in Chicken, Pork, and Beef flavors!

Having worked in food service in my youth, I made a decision to never work in food service as an adult.

While I love to cook and feed people, I hate serving people and cleaning up after them.

Sad thing is, there are probably only a few people who caught his faux pas.
