    Default Sunday brisket......as promised!

Got up 8ish on Sunday morning. Had a 7-8 lb packer that I got from Sam's the week before. Seasoned it with the KING Chef Schwantz's rub and threw it on the smoker. Left for church about 11, stoked the fire before I left. Took it off about 12:30, wrapped it and into the oven it went at 225 while the rest of us went to the lake. So, here's how it all went. Ended up serving it up with fresh sweet corn, garden tomatoes and cucumbers and freshly fried okra. Enjoy the pics:

Becky. Yeah, when you can figure out why she's with me, let me know. I'm guessing it's because of your rub that I use on the brisket. Just mixed up another batch tonight!

Yep, that's usually how I do it but I was running short on time so it went into the hot water. I usually cook it in it's husk or shuck it, throw butter and salt/pepper on it, wrap it in foil then go from there. It's nice to live a mile from where they harvest the good, sweet corn!

    Looks great, Bro!

If you would like me to gift you with an OU shirt when I retire back there, just let me know the size.

Although, OSU is like the step-brother team for me, not necessarily my favorite but nobody else can bad mouth them.
