Default Oh well, they were on sale

I'm not sure what these really were. A couple sorta looked like chops and the others looked like a cross between a pork steaks and country style ribs. Well what can you expect for .79 cents a pound.

I decided to grill them like I would pork steaks.

seasoned with Kosher salt and grillin' spice

    startin' to sizzle

almost done. basted with sauce for the third time.

served with some tater salad and extra sauce for dippin'. They turned out ok, definitely not the best cuts of meat, but they ate good.

    Thanks for lookin'.

They sell those here as "Pork shoulder steaks". The local Vietnamese folks soak them in Lemon Grass and garlic and grill them up mighty tasty.

Top three look to be sirloin chops and the bottom seem to be shoulder steaks Jim. Did they look like that to you?

Nice work as usual. the sauce has a real nice presentation...nice and red and shiny. What kind of sauce was it?

OB, I love the Viet grilled pork recipes, all of them. I am trying to learn more from my daughter in law and her mother. The prollem is that the daughter in law really doesn't know all that much, and her mother doesn't hardly speak a word of English.

I don't think I care if they're hog lips - they look completely edible to me. Pics look great and the sauce looks good too.

Tim, I think they were suppose to be sirloin chops, but someone really screwed up cutting them and ended up with the odd looking cuts. Probably why they were so cheap.

The sauce was Cattleman's Classic that I cut with Sprite, then added honey, dark brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and chipolte pepper. It is the same as is in the bowl for dipping. It looks very dark, but turns out a deep red when on the meat.

Looks delicious to me as well. Love PORK no matter how it is cut. Guess that is why I am a pork-a-holic. Great job with the cooking and saucing.

Pork chops, pork steaks, pork snouts, the finished product looks like good eats to me!
    Nice job!
Tell us more about the sauce, give us some measurements.
