    Default Made my own lump

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it is. Looked at the naked wiz last night a found links on how to make your own lump. So I went out and found all the stuff in the shop and bulit one today. Very simple to build and seemed to work good have not had the chance to burn the lump yet hope it works good. Here are some pics.

That is a 1953 willys wagon on the tire and on the wagon is a four wheeler ram that i was making. The iron wheels are a four row planter that some day will make it to my front yard for the flowers. Pulled the lump from the small drum and end up with 5 gallon bucket full started with half the drum full. All I did to make my kiln was cut the bottum out of a 55 gallon drum and then a hole in the side to add wood to the fire then drill 8 holes in the small drum and set it over a hole that I dug for the fire put a top on the small drum and burned for about 6 hours. Check out the neked wiz the link they have has pic and distructions.

Used my lump last night worked great. Filled the starter half way up had no problem lighting it. It seem to hold a good temp. Not sure how long it will hold it because my cook was for about 2 hours. Made more yesterday three 5 gallon buckets to start with ended up with two buckets when it was all done.
