    Default Opinions?

I've been cooped up in the house with my Mom & Grandma for a day or two now due to this weather and have been doing nothing but looking at BBQ. My Mom has started to show interest but I know she'd never mind a pit that was wood or charcoal only. Anyone ever had one of these or have an opinion about them?

I've got a similar unit except that it's a GOSM. The biggest hassle with this smoker is feeding it wood chips every 45 minutes or so. If she only has a limited amount of interest in smoking, I wouldn't get her into any smoker that requires more attention than this one.

I Considered a UDS but she has ZERO tools and I am only here for a short time. Not really time to build and certainly not time to conduct the necessary training for her to use it.

Well, after some looking around, I picked up an el-cheapo Brinkman vertical. It came with a bowl for the charcoal which didn't really make sense. I found a "grill wok" that happened to slide right in the rails for the bowl. The bowl is now an ash catcher. Lit it off and got the vents adjusted and it's been chugging along at 200-ish for 4 hours now.

Sorry for the picture quality, I am using my phone.
