    Default Maverick ET-87 ~ $9.99 @ BB&B ~ MSRP $24.99

I stopped in Bed, Bath & Beyond today after a diabetic seminar because it was on a side of town I don't get too often and I wanted to see if they had any Maverick ET-73s. Well they didn't have any of them and they had a big rack of Polders on display out in the open pushing them with the rest of the Thanksgiving cookware (pans, basters, insta read thermos, lacing kits etc.) I've only heard bad news about Polders so I went lookin' around to see what else they might have and found these Maverick model ET-87 Roast Alert digital thermometers hangin' up with a price tag that says $9.99. Well I was on the Maverick website a couple days ago and didn't see any thermos this cheap, so I bought one and came home to see what Maverick wanted for them. I was really surprised to see a MSRP of $24.99. You can bet that I'll be going back out to swoop up another 3-4 of these.

Sounds like a good score. I'll try to check my BB&B this weekend if I get a chance.

I will try BB&B this weekend and see what I can find. I did notice the Oregon in Office Depot yesterday but do not remember the price but think it was $39.95. (Single probe which I have). Works fine but I want a dual probe. Do have a Charmglow made by maverick which is single probe as well.

Hey MisChef, that sounds like a helluva deal, but are you sure about the model no.? I checked BBaB's website and found the Mav ET-84 for $9.99 and the 87 wasn't listed. The 84 goes for $25-30 on other sites. I got an Oregon Scientific on order from Best Buy. Used my $50 gift card, so I'm only out about $15, but I'd like to have dual probes or a second unit. This may be the way to go!

What's the diff between 84 and 87...yeah some smarta$$ is gonna tell me 3 But seriously, any real difference? The 84 may be good enough for me. I could use it to monitor smoker temp while I use the OS for the meat.
