So they guy who hooked me up with a great deal on wood a few weeks ago has a hankering for some bbq. and happens to have 2 hickory trees all cut up and split that he was saving just for me. just wants some que and for me to come pick up. guess i know what i'm doing in the morning... i had a butt in the freezer for someone for this weekend. now i gotta cook another one. but its a free butt for better than a half cord of hickory!!

well i just figured out the downside to free wood. when you figure out where to put it.. and then you get more than that spot can handle..you have to adjust. in this case build. so to put the rack where it needed to go, that meant moving the 1/2 cord, putting in the rack.. then moving the wood back. and then theres the free load. thats a lot of wood to move. figure about 1/2 cord a truck.. up onto the truck.. onto the ground.. onto the stack... then off the stack, and then back on it.. repeat for 2nd load. all the sudden a stumps isn't sounding bad!! ha..

    heres the rack half loaded..

    shot of the corner..

4 2x4x10, one 2x4x6 (treated) and 40 screws.. about 25 bucks.. and had just a foot left over. will finish loading tomorrow..
