Kinda "bump'n" this thread up. Dutch has the best recipe, it even converted my Dad into like'n beans.

I made these for a bunch of pheasant hunters. I left out the jalps, added two pre smoked strip steaks(cut into small chunks), a bit of brisket(4-6 slices cut into chunks) and some meat from leftover rib "parts"(the stuff you cut off to make KC style/St.Louieee style). Nearly a meal itself.

Like Dutch said, make it your own. The basic concept/ingred. work very well, but we liked crushed pinapple rather than chucks. I also double the bacon.

Anyone who has not tried this, MUST. I don't care how good your beans are, try it. If you still like your beans better, let us know how you do it.

Again, Thanks Dutch for the recipe. When I make beans the kids always ask, "Dutchs' ?" They should know better by now.

As far as our family, we never had them at all till I made Dutches. Now they are requested often. Great way to get rid of leftovers, imo. Our easy go to is the potato, you can do so many things w/them.

Jake, try the beans. If you don't like them, I will refund the money you spent on the recipe(w/exclusion of ingredients, time, wood, electricity; only accepted in the United States, this coupon is worth ..........nothing.)

Try the beans Jake. If you don't like them, change them the next time.
