See ya at Ponca Friday. What's this about a feast?
Sorry about leaving it out, we were cooking at Park City Kansas. The feast is weather or not the horses do good at the nationals.

Well then, if you do well, are we invited to the feast?

We were talking about doing some grilled dove breast and maybe some Italian marinated rib eye steak. Care to join us?

Thanks for the invite, but I used to live in Ponca and have some friends coming out to visit. Maybe next time.

We competed in Fayetteville AR. this weekend. There was 100,000 bikes and 55 bbq teams present for the Bike, Blues and BBQ festival. They had a peoples choice Friday night and sold over 4000 taster kits in 1 hour. You couldn't stir the crowd with a stick. The contest went off with out a hitch we landed Reserve Grand overall, 1st in chicken, 10th in ribs, 7th in pork, and 9th in brisket. There was a lot of top teams and I got to see some friends we haven't seen since last year.

Now for the elephant in the room, I was so busy with work and getting ready for some other out side issues I just realized I didn't post about Ponca City contest. We cooked some good food but not good enough. The results was less than I wanted but well deserved for the teams that got calls.
