    Default Cowboy Cake

This cake was made by a gentleman at Lee's Resort during the gathering. It is absolutely wonderful and he was kind enough to give me the recipe to share ...

    2 1/2 cups flour
    1/2 cup cocoa
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 Tblsp vinegar
2 cups water or cold coffee (prefer coffee)
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    2 tsp soda
    2/3 cup oil
    1 TBsp vanilla

    Topping:

    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 tsp cinnamon

    Directions:
Put flour, 1 1/2 C sugar, cocoa, soda, salt in ungreased 13"x9"x2" pan. Stir with fork, make three wells. Pour oil in one well, vinegar in one, and vanilla in the last. Pour water over all, stir with fork untill well mixed. Do not beat.

Combine 1/4 C sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the top.

    Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes

That sounds really good....does the sugar make a nice crust on top?

Yeah Brian just a think crisp layer. Try it out and see what you think. I didn't specifically mention it but by the directions you can tell that this is mixed and made in the pan you will cook it in ... less mess.

It was like a moist chocolate cake - give it a shot and see if you like it. Don't forget the pics and your opinion

The only picture I have for it shows it way in the back. I guess someone is just going to have to make one and take some pics.

The gentleman came by and insisted Jane and I eat the last two pieces.
    So, we did.
And we were GLAD we did!
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
    And pics ARE REQUIRED.
