If I had one I'd foil it or put sand in it and wet it down each smoke. Foil is one of my biggest purchases at a groc store. Saves a ton of time.

You need a pellet pooper Greg.

When I had a bullet I didn't foil the "dhmo" pan, but wish I had.

'cause I just scrubbed my pan down again and remembered hearing about people foil lining theirs ... besides, it's raining here again and I needed to stir the pot somewhere!

Yes, I do mine inside and out. Sure saves a lot of scrubbing. I like to keep my smoker fairly clean.

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.

In my WSM, I put a ceramic plate on the top of the pan and have that plate wrapped in foil.

I did once, inside and out, and it wicked water under the foil and onto the coals (WSM).

Never do any more, and never scrub either.

Pour the water out, 5 minutes on the turkey fryer burner, and nothing is left.
