    Those are very close to dutch's beans with some added spices and meat. I will definitely smoke up a batch of these.

    Been told that before. That always gives me a little chuckle. I worked on the recipe ( original recipe I started with was my Grandma's ) for years before I first posted my version of it on my web site way back in 2003 (started first web site in late 2002 ). Maybe a year or two before the other recipe was first posted on The Smokin' Meat forum. Just shows that many people have similar tastes in recipes at different times and places. I believe most recipes are tweaked versions of another recipe we saw or used at some point in time, whether it was a family recipe or one in a cook book, over time the new version is now considered yours. It's all good and a fine compliment to be compared to Dutch's beans.
