Default Lone Grove Days BBQ Cookoff

Wish me luck guys There will be 9 teams there this year and I am the defending champion(there were 3 teams last year)

Just a friendly small town cookoff with a nice trophy, no KCBS or other sanctioning body, so I can make my ribs look however I want

Good luck, Mike! I'm sure you're going to win it again.

Is it basically a peoples choice type event? What is the prize?

I'd have gone too if I'd known. I might have even accepted an invite to cook with you.

How much of Lone Grove is still left?

You are talking about the suburb of Ardmore aren't you?

You can't even tell the tornado hit the town unless you know where a bunch of houses and stores used to be.

I would have asked for help if it were anywhere but home, the fam all cam out and hung out with me. It was nice having everyone around and seeing what we do at comps.

Butt Lover's won its second straight GC placing 1st out of a whopping 6 teams. I just cooked food the way I would at home, i.e. falling off the bone spares, just straight salt, pepper and garlic brisket. It was nice, didn't even garnish, just throw in the box and turn in.

I am going to help my friend Bryan get a KCBS comp going down there for next year, hopefully everybody can dome down.
