    Default apple Wood

One of the guys where I work brought me in 4 boxes of apple wood. They even band sawed them up into nice 4" thick chunks. Planning on letting it season until fall. Looks like I will be doing ribs for the guys in my shop. Sneaky bastards!

I guess I never worry about letting it season. Some of the best stuff I ve smokled was with sappy sugar maple. Smokes more, adn burns less.

Nice score....But I agree, they're just trying to get you to cook for them.

You need to use that wood green while you can. Just make sure to use it in a hot enough fire in small enough chunks ( if using on charcoal) that it keeps the smoke thin and blue.
