Default I want to build a smokehouse

I'm thinking about building a smokehouse. I'm not sure how big, what material to build it from and how to fire and exhaust it. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi Rube. Can you tell us what it is that you are planning on smoking? How large of a quantity will there be at one time? It will help decide how big and what materials to use.

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.
