    Default Hello from SW Virginia

Hi all, Great site here I hope to learn and contribute when I can.
Im in the process of building my first pit.
It will be a reverse flow pit with a warmer/cooker above the firebox.
I have just gatherd up some of the most important parts this week. A 250 gal propane tank for the main smoke chamber I think a 80 gal tank for the vertical warmer/small smoke chamber on mon. Yesterday I gatherd up 3 sheets of #9 expanded steel . I found a sheet of 4' x 9' x1/4" and a smaller piece 4'X31". I stoped by my old welding shop from High School and used a big metal sheer to cut pieces for my firebox.
Got to pick up some parts for my trailer in the next few weeks and I will be getting started.
Im pumped and can't wait to get it going.

Welcome to The Joint Jim! Keep us posted on your pit build and include LOTSA pics! We LIKE pics!
And fill both of those tanks completely with water and drain before you cut! Or we may NOT see any more pics.
