Default I'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours

Here is my Pineapple smoker. I built it from a drum that originally had pineapple in it, hence the name. There is a reason it is painted silver, that being HEAT RETENTION. Smokers painted black lose a huge amount of heat radiated through the smoker body to atmosphere. The silver paint reflects a sizeable portion of that heat back into the smoker.
If you are versed in thermography (infrared principals) you know what I am talking about, and also know I'm not just blowing smoke.
If you want to talk I would be happy to elaborate.

One of these days I'm gonna be drum friendly. Still like that pineapple on the side.

    Me too, me too.

Is that a 55? What size firebox? All I see is one hole for air in the bottom; what are you using for regulation?

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.

Looks totally cookable Bubba! I'm eyeballing the dolly. Did you make it or buy it? Do you mostly only use the ball valve for flow control, or do you open the other holes as well?

Last but not least, how do you clean it out when it need it?
