Default Tangerine Orange Chicken Hickory and Apple Smoked

Here is a recipe for some honkin good chicken. It is simple but taste fantastic, and is such a good presentation all of your quests will be impressed by it.

Ingredients: couple tangerines, couple oranges, orange juice, brown sugar, lemon juice, charcoal, hickory and apple wood

Get a couple chickens and split into halves. The best way to do this is by taking a good pair of scisors and cut the backbone out.

Put your favorite rub on them and place in fridge overnight

In the morning cut the oranges and tangerines in half and squeeze the juice over the chicken. Save the halves for the basting sauce.

Basting Sauce: put about a cup of apple juice, orange and tangerine halves (scrape from zest from both and put it in the juice before adding them to the juice) add some brown sugar and add some lemon juice, and a little bit of your fav rub and simmer for about 20 min or so

Using indirect heat get your grill to about 250 degrees. place chickens bone side down. Cook 2 1/2 hrs basting every 1/2 hr (170 to 180 deg internal temp). Enjoy!!!
