    Default Sausage Sammies

OK, I admit I'm a weenie tonight. It's cold out and I'm tired enough that I'm disinclined to go out and fire up the grill or smoker.

I did manage to throw together a couple quick and tasty sammies though.

    I took this

    And this

    Packed it into this

    Sprinkled it with this

then put the lid on it, wrapped it with foil and stuck it in the oven for25 minutes @ 325

Then I took it out and sliced it and it looked like this

    And it tasted like this

But did you rub the outside of the buns with garlic butter before you wrapped them? If not, you gotta try it. I love a good baked sub. Not that toasted crap you get at fast food joints.

Tim, If there is a food heaven, you have found it. Going to bed with a full tummy and the visions of that sammie should have let you sleep like a baby. Way to go pal.

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.

Be sure to use a fairly heavy bread with a leathery crust.
