Default tag team chicken fried steak

Well we finally did and they turned out great. Jake was off yesterday but I worked so he got the prep and some of the cooking done and I finished it off once I got home from work. With him being so busy right now I decided to post this for both of us

here are the steaks after they had been pounded to death Lol

    and some bacon mmmmmmm

    jake's sauteed mushrooms and onions

here's where I take over ...started frying the sausage

transferring the sausage to a bowl

    making the roux

here I am loving up the steaks

    here's some of them....

    here are all the plates......mmmmmm

this is jaxon's plate... he didn't want his sausage gravy touching his steak Lol

this one is Jake's... he added some of the hollandaise he had made for good measure

Good lord....chicken fried steaks fried in lard & bacon grease with sausage gravy, sauteed mushrooms & onions, a side of bacon and hollandaise.......... this dinner was a heart attack waiting to happen. I think i gained 5 pounds from this one but it was sooo good. Thanks everyone for all yout tips on this one.

A Little bit of a strange combination with the hollandaise sauce but what makes it all work for sure is it's all the very best in Heart Stopper Food (well you're missing glazed donuts). I think hollandaise sauce goes with everything. I can buy egg yokes in a carton in the same isle as butter at my wholesaler and it's very tempting.

We used to manage a bed and breakfast and rolled the meat in flour herb mix then in butter milk and back in the flour herb mix. Then into the deepfryer very good.
