    Default Ultimate turkey cooker

Has anyone had anything to do with the "ultimate turkey cooker"? I bought one and only tried it once. Turned out OK, I guess, but I wasn't overly enthused by it. Maybe I just need to give it another try.

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.

This is just a cast iron pot with acone inside to distribute the heat. You just set it on a propane burner and adjust the heat until you get the temp you want for the cook. There is no oil or anything else in the pot. You can also use it for making stews etc. I bought it at Menard's.

    Charbroil Big Easy

Claims to be infrared. I first saw them last year at Lowe's. they caught my curiosity at first until I saw that it was basically just a high tech turkey roaster. If I'm not mistaken, they say it takes about 15-20 minutes per pound to roast a bird, about the same as a conventional oven.

When I first saw them, they wanted well over $100 for them. I saw them on a clearance rack the other day for about $50.
