Brian,
great idea on the drum mods!
I checked the other nite and with my closed top cut below the rim of the drum the weber lid fits perfectly. I havent fired it yet with the weber lid so dont know how much smoke/heat loss I will have, but will check soon.
I have read somewhere about folks using thin flexible kitchen refrig magnets to seal those slots/holes and make er more efficient, havent tried it myself but when I go in stall the rotiss the slots will be into my drum itself so I will want someway of coverin them up when not in use. Just a thought.
Again, nice mods, looks like they work real well!!!
