Default Two teams competing this weekend

The official TQJ BBQ team will be competing at the 12st Annual Cherokee Strip BBQ and Chili Cookoff this weekend. This is a KCBS stae championship event, and while most of the really big names will be in Hot Springs for the Smoke on the Water $50k prize money, there will be some tough competition being as Ponca City is the home of both Head Country and Cookshack.

This is our first comp since the brisket victory in Claremore, Ok in May. We have high hopes and high aspirations. We will post results as soon as possible after the comp.

TX Sandman and Nascar Chuck's Midnight Blue Smokers is also competing in a Comp in east Texas if I'm not mistaken. I'll let one of them fill in the details

Good luck......and make it 3 teams.

I will be doing an FBA comp in Ft. Myers, FL.

I have high hopes and aspirations as well, will probably get my azz handed to me by the comp veterans............I bet I drink more than them though.

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.

Actually it's in N. Texas at the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine, TX. It's a benefit for Camp Craig Allen http://www.campcraigallen.org

It's our first comp and we have no idea of what to expect, but we are there to have fun and help a great cause!

Rob will have it by himself for awhile as I cant get there until Saturday morning.

Anyway, if anyone is in the area, swing by and say hello!

Good luck to the other teams competing this weekend. Hopefully the Q Joint will have a good weekend!
