I am just your basic middle-aged, overworked, underpaid, father of three who finally has the time and resources to start smoking some delicious meats.
I plan to combine this with my other great passion, homebrewing my own beer! Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than sipping on a tall cold one watching thin blue smoke waft out of the chimney of my cooker as it turns a rubbed pork butt into delicious goodness.
I recently purchased a Char-Griller Smokin Pro and it should get delivered in the next few days. I plan to make several mods to it in order to get it up to snuff and turn it into a championship quality cooker. Heavy duty wheels, baffle and tuner plates, thermos, extended chimney, high-temp sealants, and paint the whole thing with high temp flat black.
