I just wanted to share this cool build i just ran across at work. I'm away for work at our main headquarters for a few weeks and while exploring afew warehouses looking for maintenance stands and other things we could steal to use while we're here putting a few aircraft together I stumbled upon this beautiful beast.
It's modeled after a Pratt & Whitney JFTD12A from an air crane. I couldn't get too close of a look at it because we're on a mission but she looked to be about 10 feet or so long with an intake and exhaust from an actual aircrane installed. She seemed to be reverse flow set and there was a leaver on the right side by the exhaust that upened up more than half of the pipe making it look like a functioning exhaust stack billowing smoke. I wish i had time to get a better look at it and get more pics. I think it was put together in house using our CNC shop, Machine shop and welding shop, I was impressed with the work. I'll need to sneak back over to that side of the flight line again soon and get a better look. I was surprised I didn't think the company had it in it.
