Default 2015 Christmas at the Shoots'

It was all about the food! I put this in the beef forum cuz the star of the show is beef, but breakfast was pork.

    Fatties with sharp cheddar.

    Goes well with beer biscuits.

    And eggs.

This one broke before I was ready to slice, so it became the first victim.

    Christmas Cheer!

Prime Rib Roast went on for a sear with the Vortex. I had cut the ribs off, then tied 'em back on with some crappy string. It broke while manipulating the roast on the Vortex. Note to self: Get some non-crappy string!

No matter, I cooked 'em separately.

From the grill, the ribs and roast went to the drum. Hung around there til IT reached 125 or so. Pulled, tented with foil while other details came together. Like these Hasselback spuds.

    The roast outta the foil.

Nice...just the way I like it!

My plate before I remembered the homemade horsey sauce. Trust me, it happened.

Not pictured of course were all the usual cookies and candies, but they dang sure happened too! It was a great day!

    Thanks for lookin'!

Looks like you had a beautiful day filled with a lot of delicious eats, a glass of smooth sippin' whiskey, and a good smoke.
