Sorry guys im slow on the update but I just got sent out of town again for work so I have time to get caught up here goes.

    Frame is stuffed and filled

    Main frame is done

Base and frame are done and tacked together. Most of the welds are ground smooth. And the garage is cleaned so the warden doesn't kill me when I finally get back from my work trip.

All the tubing is 2" x2" the base is 1/4" thick yes I know its probably overkill but that's how I prefer to do things. If its worth doing its worth over doing. the main frame is 1/8". I'm still looking for the right wheels to put under her I'm looking at some 9" pneumatic but I may go with solid rubber depending on weight capacity.

That's what I got so far I still have another 3 weeks or so before I get home it will be a while for another update

The builds really start to get exciting when they are taking shape. Looking like a good start. Hopefully it'll be done by spring and you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Yeah that's the plan. Hopefully I can be seasoning it by March before my season really picks up and I'm traveling alot more and the time gets more precious. all I gotta do is finish the fire box and chute so I can start skining it but that might require another trip or 2 to my steel yard.

Nothing like getting home and finding a box of goodies waiting.

Other than a few valves I think I have just about everything I need. I just need to finally get back to work.

I finished up the chute and burn chamber and got it welded to the bottom plate.

I left the front edges of the chute long on it because the same 3"x5" rectangle tubing that I used for the transfer tube will fit right in there and will serve as my exhaust for the reverse flow system. So the smoke will travel up the left and right side of the chute down over the food and back up the chute to exit.

A view from the bottom side it's sitting flush with the bottom plate and since the base frame will be in the way I won't be able to slide the rack in and out so I had to make a way to pin it in place.

Here's a view of the inside of the burn chamber and transfer tube.

Burn chamber ended up at 6"x7"and 9" tall and the chute tapered down to 6"x6" and about 28" tall giving me a total height of 37" so about " will be sticking out of the top where I will put a frame and lid onto.
Now I just need to reattach it to the base and frame so I can mock up the fire box.

I Got the wheels and fire box welded onto the base.

I also got the ball valve hooked up.

And got the floor plate and chute installed onto the firebox

This was one of those Murphy's laws weeks if it could go wrong it did. First i ran out of welding wire no big deal i go get some more get home and i find that i burned up my grinder and had to go make another trip to get another one, as soon as i get home again the grinding wheel explodes in my face thank God for safety glasses. That was my Que to call it a day. Next day I burned up my drill while drilling the hole for the ball valve pipe still need to go get another one of them and today I forgot to slide the pin into my fire grate before welding the top to the bottom now there's no room to slide it in, I cut it all to fit so I can slide the pin far enough to release the grate but not enough for the pin to fall out and get lost now I gotta figure something out.
