Firecracker BBQ sauce

2 TBS vegetable oil
1 large, chopped onion
1 cups ketchup
2 TBS red wine vinegar
1 cups water
2 TBS Worcestershire
1 TBS chili powder
1 TBS half sharp smoked paprika
1 tsp Espelette pepper (or cayenne)

Combine all of it and simmer for 15 minutes
Keeps for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
(If you can keep your hands off it for that long !)
