Question I was given a 4 x3x3 Wood shipping crate.

I know I'm turning it into something, but I'm trying to figure out what. A cajun microwave? A vertical smokehouse? Maybe turn it sideways, take the bottom off and turn it horizontal for a whole pig smoker? What do you think?

Maybe if you could upload a picture it might strike some ideas. The cajun microwave sounds interesting though.

Cajun microwave = La Caja China

Meat goes inside, top gets covered with burning charcoal, it's an oven.

Yeah. After everything I just went and bought a La Caja Asadora.I figured the wood isn't too thick on the box, and with insulation and sheet metal fabrication it'd be more cost effective to buy one outright. I'll post pics when I can figure out how in the hell to do that. I'm going to keep the box though, eventually I'll turn it into a small vertical smoker. Maybe a cold smoker.

You bought one!!! We'd sure like to see it and see it in action.

Drop on down to Technical How To below.
Click on ADD PICTURES. It has a tutorial to explain how to include pics with your post. Most here use PhotoBucket.

If you need any help or info just ask, someone here will have what you need and be happy to share.
