    Default Tried a new hot sauce

    found this at my local hot sauce store.....

    nice stuff..

    mustard base, nice fruity w/ a kick

    for its inaugural taste, i made some venison fajitas seasoned with a jerk style rub i put together myself (heavy in the allspice, garlic, onion and a touch of brown sugar, plus a ton of other west indie spices, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, peppers, etc) flavored with my usual go to's onion garlic salt pepper, i went with a cheapo salsa left over from something that someone brought with them....meh, it was a tomato base....time to get rid of it...taste adjust, touch of some lemon...simmered with beef base to tenderize the venison.. in the end it was a nice mild jerk...simmer simmer bout 20 minutes, served in a flour tort with sour cream, jack cheese and lettuce....

    but the real star was that bite of mustard and scotch bonnet heat of the final saucing..... oh boy am i going to love this stuff.....

    supposed to be a 7 on the heat scale...i'd give it a 5...mustard is definitely forefront, followed by fruity sweetnedd then a kick of heat

    That do sound good. I found one down in Belize that I liked and manages to get the recipe made from Habenaros. I only have a littel left. Can't wait until the habs are back in the store so I can make a batch.
