With the pepper sauce bottle the narrow slit in the insert doesn't often let a seed through. I have my doubts that those peppers are nearly as hot as the small wild ones like I grew. Those are inedible. Real tonsil removers.

It is for sure that mine are not as hot as yours, like I said from a little less to a little more than a jalapeno.
Your little ones look like what we call "piment oiseau" literally "bird pimentos" (or chilies) but ... they are red. I don't find them very often and when I do it is in an oriental specialty store and either have started to dry or are in plastic bags.
They are imported from China or Thailand.

the small ones like I grow are a delicacy for birds and they transplant them all over their range and they spread from there. For those who would like to shop for seed I've just found this site:

A lot of interesting hot peppers there but...there is a sentence in the shipping details that I do not care for (and I quote) :
"Sorry, no shipments will be made to foreign countries."
I will keep the link anyway.
Thanks.

Your link got me to thinking, I have never tried to find a seed supplier. I logged on to an English site from whom I have already purchased hot sauces to have a look. It is a very interesting site, if you have time to browse it, here is the link :
http://www.chilliworld.com/
On the left you will find "links to chili sites".
"Chili pepper seeds" lists 5 UK sources. I only looked at the first one, Nick's nursery.
"chilies" on Nick's nursery (http://www.nickys-nursery.co.uk/) lists over 100 different chilie seeds that they sell !

It's even worse than foreign countries. A lot of our states will not allow certain seed shipped in. I have several sites here in the US that I can order from. Pepper grows well in containers. 15-20 liters.

Hey, I just found the pepper vinegar I made last October.
Good stuff, the bite kind of sneaks up on you.
Next time I will leave the seeds.

Sometime back I read an article on pepper heat and while we have been taught that the heat is from the seeds this article says the real heat is from the membrane on the inside of the pepper. I don't know but I don't strip anything out of the pod. I've got a lot of hot pepper seed that are much hotter to grow and grind this fall. Everything from a jalapeno up to the worlds hottest for the time being, the Carolina Reaper. From what I've read I'll need a hazmat suit to wear when grinding that stuff.

I have read about the Carolina Reaper on an English web store that sells hot spices/sauces/rubs and dehydrated peppers.
