There are no "sweet" onions here, about once a year I can find "green" onions but otherwise they are either yellow, white or red and they all bite !

If it wasn't illegal I'd send you some TX Granex seed. That is the sweet slicing burger onion that is grown in Vidalia, GA area that has become rather famous. Anyone in the right zoning climate wise can grow them but can't call them the trade marked name, Vidalia. The trick to grow sweet onions is to have a low sulfur soil. It's the sulfur that makes them bite and maybe make good storage onions.

try some honey and brown sugar ,core out the onion though then wrap bacon .

Since I had one wrapped onion left and I said that I would have to try it... I cut it in half poured some honey on it and nuked it.

Just imagine a little smokiness and the bacon crisped up ... mmmmmmm
