Given the bloodline from whence you were sprung, I think it would be more like 'bar sinister'.

The little green box is an indication of your 'reputation power'. It is supposed to be an indication to new arrivals seeking advice of how much you know your stuff. On some other sites that use this software, is has gotten out of control and become a sort of 'social game' and lots of people that don't really know what they are doing have all kinds of rep power.

We can turn it off and will if it gets out of control and comes to the point where it no longer serves it's purpose.

As it stands, someone has give you a 'reputation point' which is supposed to mean that you have helped them with their knowledge of outdoor cooking.

    Wear it proudly grasshopper.

To all else, please make sure that we are only awarding rep points for help with on topic subjects, and not for humor or just because you like someone in general. Like I said, we will continue to have it as long as it is used to serve the purpose for which it was designed.

And yes, who gives the rep power does make a difference as to how many tile you get.

Those little green boxes have led to unpleasant things on other forums.
    A reason I'm here.
Seems some folks have to see just how much "reputation" they can build.
"Rep whores" I believe I've seen them referred to as.
I personally don't give a large fat rats a** about that crap. It means chit.

    LMAO

I just gave you reputation for that.

Seriously, when we use to all walk around in that old neighborhood, and certain neighbors pointed to there Rep scale as "knowing what they talked about", I laughed my azz off and started humming the "Miss America" theme.

Popularity contest on some forums (NOT this one)
